The Julia Burger is worthy. Thank you.
Thank you, Mr. Grill, for your detailed review.
A thorough and enthusiastic review from the Canadian A Muse in the Kitchen. Thanks guys. I hope you are able to find true skirt steak rather than flank steak.
Lee Barnes writes a terrific piece in 14 points. It can be seen on inRich.com. Barnes is a features writer for the Times Dispatch in Richmond, VA. This is one of my favorite reviews because it's so much fun and yet sneakily informative.
The Food Paper reviews The New Steak.
Listen to my June 28th interview with Grace Ann Walden on KGO radio in San Francisco.
Ladies Home Journal runs a nice review of "The New Steak" in its July issue.
I made the New York Times Sunday Book Review long list on June 1, 2008.
The New Steak covered on Super Chef.
A piece on marinating includes a couple of my recipes. It's written by Karin Welzel for the Pittsburg Tribune-Review. I might add, not all marinades need acid. Soy Sauce and Fish Sauce aren't acidic, but they're powerful tenderizers. It's all about breaking down proteins. Science perhaps I'll leave to Harold McGee!
Here's a smart review of The New Steak by Juliette Rossant on SuperChef.
Newsweek on The New Steak! May, 2008.
AP reprinted a version of my Steak Asado recipe on May 9th -- it's been reprinted in lots of newspapers.
Elissa Schappell mentions The New Steak in her Hot Type column in the March Vanity Fair.
The Tuscon Citzen has a very nice review. Thank you intelligent, dilligent food critic and tester -- even if Vanilla Sauce should not take all afternoon! In any case, thank you and here it is!
Thank you Daily News. I didn't ever see this because an "a" slipped in there rather than an "e." Still pleased you like the book.
Publishers Weekly reviewed the The New Steak in February.
On March 19th, the Washington Post adapted my recipe for Strip Steaks with Tequila-Avocado Sauce for their 25 Minute Dinner series.
Burlignton Free Press food writer, Melissa Pasanan, adapts one of my recipes for her April 29 article on grilling steak. I find the piece confusing. The Lime-Tequila Marinade she reprints is adapted from my book but it appears alongside an Emerald Steak Sauce I've never seen in my life. Oh well.
